What is a "Dutch Auction?" I was working at Menard's on Sunday when I heard the announcer lady come on the loudspeaker and mutter something about a "Dutch Oven." Mind you it was 8:30 in the morning but I swear to god she said "Dutch Oven," and I will admit it put me in a really good mood. That is until I picked up the sales ad and saw that it was in fact a "Dutch Auction" and not a "Dutch Oven" that Menard's was having. A "Dutch Oven" would be way more fun that a "Dutch Auction" any day... don't you think? Oh and then they had "chore coats" on sale too. What the hell is a "chore coat?" I am presuming it's something you put on when dusting, vaccuming, and/or washing windows? Can anyone confirm this definition?
It's such an odd place to work. They have all these weird terms that I've never heard of before. Sometimes I feel like I work in Canada.
